Stand Up for a Cause
Shortly after we wrapped up our 2024 all-nighter, our fundraising volunteers stepped right up and started planning our biggest fundraiser of the year! Originally set for May 31, our newly re-scheduled FunnyRaising Comedy Show is coming up very soon, and we wanted to share all about it here on our site!
First off, the important details. The show will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the East Mountain Country Club in Westfield, Massachusetts. Doors open at 6:30pm and the spectacular show kicks off at 8:00pm!
Presented by Jess Miller Comedy Shows, the Saturday evening show is ‘Built on Laughter’ and ‘Sustained by Kindness’ and will feature three talented comedians: Timothy Lovett, Linda Belt, and Kathe Farris. Tickets are only $25 for a night full of laughter for a cause, but you can supplement your experience with a $15 buffet dinner of chicken cacciatore, pasta with red sauce or alfredo sauce, salad, and dinner rolls, all generously provided by the East Mountain Country Club venue! (Doesn’t that sound delicious!?)
And if that isn’t enough, we’ll also have a 50/50 raffle (win some big money!!), multiple gift baskets to raffle off, and a cash bar open, too.
But most importantly: all the proceeds go to charity. The proceeds from this event benefit WMCD Inc, who is working with youth to raise money for our 2025-selected recipients who provide support to children with cancer, battling widespread food insecurity, and provide critical youth grief support. All three of our recipients were hand-chosen by middle and high school students on our youth team, who believe it is important to support these services in our community.
So… are you in? We’re counting down the days until we’re all together, laughing, and doing what we love most- raising money for those who need it more than us.
