Our Mission and Vision:
Our mission is threefold:
Aid in developing future leaders by involving youth of Western MA in the decision making, planning, community engagement and marketing of the DanceAthon.
Give back to the community by monetarily supporting causes that are making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and groups throughout Western MA.
Craft a fun and exciting dance marathon event that will garner youth and community support year after year.
Our vision is to provide help and hope to those in need in Western Massachusetts through an annual youth-led and youth-run charity DanceAthon.
Our History:
WMCD Inc. originally began in 2021 with a vision to host a 25-hour ‘DanceAthon’, where high school students would ask for sponsorship to participate in the event. Since then, we’ve hosted three events, themed Olympics, Here We Glow Again, and Tropic Fever, and have raised $68,505.00 for four local charity recipients through business and community support. As we move forward, we’re sharing a renewed vision of our ‘all-nighters’, where teens have the opportunity to have fun while making a difference in the community. We hope you’ll support our cause!

We’re always seeking more teens to get involved! Any teens grade 6-12 that are interested in joining the youth team can email info@wmcd.org.
