Passing the Torch: A New Leader

Today, we’re announcing that our founding director of WMCD Inc., Paul Federici, will be stepping down from his position as the director of our organization as we pass the torch to a new leader.

Back in 2021, Paul took the initiative to form our first Steering Committee, Board of Directors, and Youth Advisory Council, who all joined together to work toward the bigger idea of hosting a 25-hour fundraising event that aims to inspire youth by donating to local charity recipients. Under Paul’s leadership, we’ve held three annual events, hosted over 100 student participants, and raised $68,505 for four local charities.

Through the planning of our 2022, 2023, and 2024 events, Paul has shown unwavering dedication and commitment to our organization, our mission, and our community. We cannot thank him enough for the time, energy, and effort he has put into our organization and the endless hard work he pursued as we faced roadblocks during our foundational years. We’d like to take this opportunity to extend our warmest appreciation for everything Paul has done for our organization and to wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life. Paul will continue to sit on our Board of Directors and work within the organization.

Moving forward, we are proud to announce that Harry Monti will serve as the director of WMCD Inc.! Harry’s 30+ years in business leadership will serve our organization as we embark on our next adventure.
